Trouble in Paradise

Our stay in the very sweet cottage on magical Hanalei Bay was unfortunately timed. During our stay there was major construction on a house right next to the cottage and on the other side of the road from the cottage. Construction began between 6:15 and 7am every weekday. We were also stuck in the midst of a family gathering which occupied the main house and top and bottom of the next door house, and although it was an incredibly fun and friendly family, we had little privacy or use of the outdoor area during their stay. I would definitely recommend the cottage based on the proximity to the incredible beach, but if you are looking for privacy or quiet you might want to check with the owner regarding the construction prior to booking, since it really created problems for us throughout our stay. 07/13/2019 at 5:00 AM
